You may just want a phone that has the basic calling features and memory capacity for your essential calling list of perhaps 100+ names and numbers. I favor a phone that has an alarm feature - this is something that has served me well since I got my cell phone. A calendar is a nice feature as well, but not what I would call an essential item. Ultimately, of course, the choice is up to you, the consumer. And make no mistake - it is a consumer's market these days!
